The professional golf staff at Westwood is ready to help you with your game. Led by our Director of Instruction, Scott Hause, we offer individual instruction as well as group learning options. Westwood Golf Club is excited to welcome Scott Hause as our new Director of Instruction. Scott, a PGA member since 2011, began his career as an assistant professional at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland. It was at Oak Hills CC in San Antonio that he discovered his niche for teaching and coaching under the guidance of top 100 teacher Bryan Gathright. Since then Scott has had the privilege of working at Houston Country Club and ShadowHawk Golf Club. Priding himself on taking complex swing mechanics and making them simple and easy to implement we are confident that he can help anybody with their game.

Scott brings numerous programs to go along with private instruction. They include ladies classes, junior golf programs throughout the school year as well as a summer program, plus specialty classes such as “Short Game Sick Bay”. He will also host one-day golf schools with guest instructors periodically throughout the year.

Andrew Riddle, PGA

Head Golf Professional

Andrew Riddle is a native Houstonian growing up in Sugar Land, TX and graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Business. He joined the Westwood professional golf staff in August of 2018, after he spent 18 months at Shadow Hawk Golf Club in Richmond. Andrew has been in his current role of Head Professional since September, 2020. He enjoys teaching golfers of all ages and prefers a simplistic approach to the game.

Morgan DeSive, PGA

Title

Assistant Golf Professional

Morgan grew up in the golf business; with a father who was a Head Professional for 30 years. She played 4 years of collegiate golf and then went through the PGA/PGM program, receiving her PGA Class A membership in 2016 and completed the Certification program as well. Her interest in the golf swing and teaching is her main reason for wanting to be in the golf business. Morgan’s teaching style is adaptive to a variety of swing styles and physical needs. Regardless of skill level, she enjoy working with each student’s needs, creating goals and attaining them.

Michael Thomas

Michael joins the Westwood Team coming by way of Scottsdale, AZ. Originally from Durango, Colorado, and graduating from Fort Lewis College in his hometown, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous clubs including The Club at Cordillera (Vail, CO), FireRock Country Club (Scottsdale, AZ), and most recently, The Mirabel Club (Scottsdale, AZ). Standing at 6'8", he's pretty easy to find so don't hesitate to say hello and introduce yourself!
